I began experimenting with shortwave radio communications in summer 2005, having done EVP for a couple months. It started with tuning to static and finding some voices withing the static on playback. Types of voices I have received via radio:
| "We'll be in contact before anything else." followed by two tones. | June 28th, 2007. Blog post about this clip. | |
| "The government tries to cover up America." | June 18th, 2007. Best quality radio clip to date; I could hear the word "government" at the time of recording. This voice appeared 40 seconds into a 9 minute recording, only for this sentence. | |
| "Welcome to ITC group." | June 11th, 2007 | |
| "You are feeling light headed." | June 2007. Blog post about this clip. | |
| Tone 1 | Tone 2 | June 2007. Blog post about these clips |
| Musical passage followed by woman saying "You'll be fine". | June 2007. Blog post about this clip | |
| Flute | June 2007. Blog post about this clip | |
| Sequence including three clips below | May 2007. | |
| Singing | May 2007. | |
| "Work on the forefront, not on the hysteria" | May 2007. | |
| Hard to understand, ends with ³Dissemination of ITC² | May 2007. | |
| "Respect to you, we've heard good things." Noise reduced. | May 3rd, 2007 | |
| "Zulu, I was brought to Earth." | May 2nd, 2007 | |
| "I trust you don't follow recipies" | April 20th, 2007. This is reminiscent in content of "You won't eat no combo never." | |
| "I see a better day for you." | Received April 20 2007. Noticing a trend of greater clarity in the radio voices. Becoming more common to get voices that don't require noise reduction. | |
| "You won't eat no combo, never." | Same, noise reduced | Received March 3 2007. Voice boomed out of my radio but not comprehensible at the time. Preceding transcript is my best guess at what it is saying. Perhaps a Chinese accent. I'm always turning down combos at fast food places, like, I'll order a burrito and nachos, and they say "Do you want the combo?", and I say no, I do not want a drink with that, because I don't need a drink, I don't drink pop, and I'll just have some water at work and an apple instead of buying a juice. I do this very consistently and the last time was a few days ago. So the message is accurate, and is probably intended to have another layer of meaning. The Chinese accent seems to me like a joke on combo's being originally a Chinese food thing (I remember a joke version of "Mambo #5" done by a Chinese guy as "Combo #5"). |
| "That's John." | Received March 3 2007. Audible during recording but not comprehensible. Came 10 seconds after "You won't eat no combo" clip. Sounds like a female singing with a sustained note on the "John". I don't think it's a response to the previous clip but it could be. It could just be them saying that they detected that my radio is on and I'm recording. | |
| "It's Alma. First, know what people want." | Same, noise reduced | Did not hear it at time of recording, I might have dismissed it as a regular radio voice. I think it is a non-earthly voice becase:
|
| "I will change your universe" | Noise reduced. | |
| "Transcode healer" | Noise reduced. | |
| "Still into music, are you forming a band?" | Same, noise reduced | This voice was audible directly from the radio. Was not tuned to a station. Words could not be made out until playback. I have always been involved in music and have formed a few bands. Note helicopter like sound in background. |
| "Canada's with us" | I live in Canada. Noise reduced. | |
| "Don't worry, it's real" | A voice carried within bursts of static. I had been feeling discouraged, that I wasn't making any progress at the time. Not noise reduced; just as it was heard from the radio. | |
| Two way dialogue. Me: "Can you try to say radio?" (pause) Voice: "Radio" |
This was one of the first times I heard the robotic voice. It appeared to respond to my questions. Not noise reduced; as is. |
