Question and response
I haven’t reconnected my radio to the rooftop antenna. But I don’t know if I need to.
Got this one last night. I asked “Should I start experimenting in video?” (Really meaning, should I start it up again, it’s been a while since I did it last.) Then a loud but staticky voice comes through, ending with something very much like “We’ll be in contact before anything else.” [Crop of previous with noise reduction.] This message is then concluded by two tones. You might recall I have been getting tones in some other recent messages as well.
The first time I got video results, I was told beforehand via a contact using what I call “voice reformulation” to try using the television. I use the term voice reformulation (let’s call it VRF) to refer to recordings where the speaker’s voice has apparently been used to utter a new phrase that was not uttered by the speaker during the recording. So, I record, say a couple things, then listen back, and my voice is there saying something else in addition to, or instead of, what I had said. To get proof of this, I would need to have two different recordings, one with the VRF and one without. I haven’t got that yet. Here is the aforementioned VRF clip from a few months back. In it I ask “Start using the television?” On playback I heard myself saying “Will you please” beforehand, changing the question and directing it back at me as “Will you please start using the televsion.” My voice in the first part sounds very strange - it’s me, but not. The implications of this clip are great:
- They can use my own voice to create new phrases
- They can imprint VRF voices onto the recording device as EVP voice are imprinted, but, unlike EVP, at the same volume level as my own speaking voice
- They added a phrase before my phrase that combined with my phrase to create a new meaning. This means that they either knew what I was going to say, or that their phrase was added to the recording after I spoke.
In this new message, it sounds like they are saying that I should wait for another go-ahead before doing video again, so that I don’t bother wasting a bunch of time on it. It is appreciated, as I have tried it a few times since the first time, and it’s tedious if you’re not getting results. Which is why I asked them if I should bother.
